Nadra Ukraine seeking investors

The national joint-stock company ‘Nadra Ukraine’ has announced a competition to attract investors in geological subsurface area investigations in cooperation with industrial mining research companies. Several companies are reported to be interested in investing in the Shatravinsk oilfield in Sumy region and in Horoshevsk’s oil, gas and condensate reserves in the Kharkiv region. Documents were scheduled to be presented to a special committee at the end of July.

The new Minister of Environmental protection Yuriy Zlochevskiy has promised to raise the mine working issue to the highest level so as to raise funds to modernise the sector. “We want to supply the company with the latest technology in drilling machines to fully modernize the sector. We are calling upon the banks to support us and we are also seeking support from private investors”, said Zlochevskiy.
