
Dnipropetrovsky Metropoliten has applied for loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [EBRD] and the European Investment Bank [EIB] for a project to extend a metro line in the city of Dnipropetrovsk.
The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of approximately € 340 m, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
Turnkey contract for the extension of the existing metroline by 4 km and 3 stations
Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the Q1 of 2012.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of loans from the EBRD and EIB will be subject to the EBRD’s Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. Under these rules, the proceeds of the EBRD’s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser\\\'s country.
