Japanese power plant JV encouraged by PM

The Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is encouraging Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to participate in the construction of a waste recycling plant in the capital, offering government support and the creation of joint ventures to share costs and risk. In a meeting with Kazuo Tsukuda, CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, to discuss potential green investment projects in Ukraine Azarov offered government guarantees to the Japanese company for securing low cost long-term loans for innovative investment projects in Ukraine. The country needs to modernise its power industry to aid industrial manufacturing in the country, and building a waste recycling plant in Kyiv is one of several projects planned to meet this demand.
